Medica Group pledged to invest 200 crore INR in expansion plans in North Bengal

Medica Group of Hospitals, a leading West Bengal healthcare chain, has announced an investment of 200 Cr INR for expansion plans in North Bengal. The announcement was made at the North Bengal Health Conclave 2023, where officials like Mr. N S Nigam, Principal Secretary of the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Mr. Yeluchuri Ratnakara Rao IAS, Secretary, Department of Health & Family welfare, Tapan Kanti Rudra, IAS, Director, Drug Control, Department of Health & Family welfare, Mr. Kaushik Bhattacharya, IAS, Sr. Special Secretary, Department of Health & Family welfare. The investment is part of Medica’s commitment to improving healthcare accessibility and delivering advanced medical services. The expansion will be part of a larger expansion plan to expand its presence in the region.

Medica North Bengal Clinic is expanding with 200 beds and introducing a specialized organ transplant and robotic surgery program. The Medica Cancer Hospital in Siliguri is set to expand its capacity with a Rs 150 Cr project, including a new building, 50 beds, a second Linac Machine, three operation theaters, and an ultra-modern ICU, with a total cost of Rs 50 Crores by March 2024. Mr. Ayanabh Debgupta, Joint Managing Director of Medica Group of Hospitals, stated, “Our ultimate goal is to deliver the highest quality healthcare to the residents of North Bengal through our expansion efforts.”
