A man has been arrested following an alleged attempt to evade police in Kingston around 3:30 PM. The suspect reportedly fled from officers while driving a white Holden Commodore with a black spoiler. The pursuit extended to South Hobart before the individual was apprehended. Initially, it was suspected that two other men were involved; however, police no longer believe this to be the case.
The operation utilized extensive resources, including a rescue helicopter. In a separate incident, emergency services responded to a single-vehicle crash on the Tasman Highway near Cambridge, resulting in two individuals sustaining serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
