Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Partha Chatterjee has been eliminated from the Bengal ministry following his arrest in the faculty jobs rip-off case. The choice was once taken at a Cabinet assembly chaired through West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee.
The meeting was once known as amid growing clamour to get rid of Commerce and Industries Department minister Chatterjee from all posts in the party and the ministry.
Partha Chatterjee has been eliminated from the portfolios of Commerce and Industry, Parliamentary Affairs, Information Technology and Electronics, and Public Enterprises and Industrial Reconstruction in the country Cabinet.
Mamata Banerjee, who had spoken difficult on corruption following Chatterjee’s arrest, said she has relieved him from ministry as the TMC is a “strict party”.
Mamata Banerjee has taken cost of the Commerce and Industry ministry post Chatterjee’s removal.
