The upcoming inauguration of the Maitri Setu bridge, spanning the Feni River between Bangladesh and India’s Tripura state, is poised to significantly enhance connectivity and trade in the region. This infrastructure project will provide northeastern Indian states with direct access to Bangladesh’s ports, notably the Chittagong port, located approximately 80 kilometers from Tripura’s Sabroom town.
