MAHE delegation welcomed by Canadian Prime Minister in New Brunswick

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) is pleased to announce the gracious welcome extended by Mr. Justin Trudeau, the esteemed Prime Minister of Canada, to the distinguished MAHE delegation during their visit to the University Of New Brunswick (UNB). Canadian Prime Minister warmly welcomed delegation participating in UNB’s Nursing Preceptorship program, marking a significant milestone in global academic collaboration.

MAHE and UNB have formed a dual BSc Nursing Degree Program, partnering with Manipal College of Nursing (MCON) at MAHE. The program has received Indian Nursing Council endorsement, solidifying its credentials and positioning it as a global model. The Preceptorship Opening Ceremony on August 8th will honor MAHE and UNB’s commitment to global education and cross-cultural alliances. The ceremony, supported by the Government of New Brunswick, will welcome the Manipal delegation and award students lab coats with their respective logos, symbolizing unity between the two institutions.

Mr. Trudeau praised collaborative efforts to address staffing shortages and knowledge gaps, emphasizing the benefits of the “learn where you live” approach for nursing students. He praised the commitment to high-quality international education and acknowledged the strength of unity. His encouragement motivated the visiting delegation and teams involved in the innovative initiative.
