Days after another statue of the international peace icon was attacked in this nation by supporters of Khalistan, the statue of Mahatma Gandhi was defaced on a university campus in the Canadian province of British Columbia.
The statue at Peace Place on the Simon Fraser University campus in Burnaby was vandalised in the most recent incident, the Indian Consulate General in Vancouver reported on Tuesday.
In a tweet, the Consulate said, “We strongly condemn the atrocious crime of vandalising the statue of the herald of peace Mahatma Gandhiji, @SFU Burnaby campus.”
