Maharashtra MLA’s ‘dog meat’ remark in Assam Assembly

On Friday, the first day of the budget session of the Assam Legislative Assembly took place.

According to the sources, Assam governor Gulab Chand Kataria’s speech was disrupted in between as because MLA Bachchu Kadu had made controversial remarks on managing stray dogs and said they are sent to Assam since the people there consume dog meat.

 The Opposition MLA alleged that people of Assam consume dog meat and stray dogs are sent to Assam to control their rising population in Maharashtra.

The MLA stood up and asked what action has been taken by the Assam government against the Maharashtra MLA.
