“Looms Weaves & More”, an initiative by Aesthetique since 2014 in Kolkata, is coming to Guwahati for the first time.This three days exibition of Indian weaves and crafts is scheduled on 8th 9th and 10th September 2022 at Satyanath Bora Hall Dighalipukhuri Guwahati. The exhibition will host participants from different regions of India with various local specialities.This exibition is a happy reminder of the preparations for the upcoming festive season, Durga Puja & Diwali.
The curators Sanchita Ghosh and Maitreyee pathak had conceptualize this show, with an aim to provide a networking and marketing platform to the weavers,craftsmen and homegrown designers across India.
The exibition will host award- winning craftmen and designers who work closely with weavers to showcase the finest of fabrics, textiles, varts & crafts of India ranging from sarees, ready to wear, artifacts, home linens, handcrafted jewellery, accessories, hand woven carpets among others.
