Delhi woke up to a warm morning with the minimum temperature settling at 31.6 degrees Celsius on Monday.
The Meteorological Department has forecast cloudy skies with chances of light rain or drizzle later in the day which will provide some respite from the scorching heat.
The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 43 degrees Celsius.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued a yellow alert warning of a heat wave in parts of Delhi.
IMD uses four color codes for weather alerts – green (no action required), yellow (watch and stay updated), orange (be prepared) and red (take action).
