In a proud moment for Mizoram, 22-year-old Lalhnehpuia Chhakchhuak from Zarkawt, Aizawl, has been conferred the prestigious Anhfeldt Medallion by North Park University, Chicago, during its graduation ceremony held on May 10.
The Anhfeldt Medallion is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic excellence, marked by an outstanding Grade Point Average (GPA). Chhakchhuak, who began his studies at North Park University in the Fall of 2021 on a 50% scholarship, has now earned one of the institution’s top honors.
He is the only son of Aldrin Lallawmzuala and Dr. Lalrinsangi. His academic journey and perseverance have made him a source of pride and inspiration for the Mizo community. Chhakchhuak said he plans to take a gap year to gain practical work experience before pursuing his postgraduate studies.
The recognition has drawn wide praise across Mizoram. Home Minister K. Sapdanga congratulated him on social media, calling the achievement a proud moment for the state.
