The Mizoram Legislative Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution urging the state government to recommend a CBI investigation into the controversial Lengpui land acquisition deal. Mizo National Front (MNF) legislator R Lalthangliana, who moved the resolution, highlighted public concerns regarding the deal, particularly allegations of questionable payments made to individuals, including over Rs. 117.90 crore paid to Henry Lalremsanga Hlawnmual. Concerns were raised regarding potential kickbacks involving politicians and officials. Chief Minister Lalduhoma defended the current government, attributing responsibility to the previous MNF government for the acquisition processes. Following deliberations, the resolution was passed unanimously, advocating for a CBI inquiry.
