Khandu opens Itanagar’s multi-story parking structures

Pema Khandu, the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, dedicated three multi-story parking structures to the public on Wednesday. Two of them are located virtually at the APST Bus Station and ESS Sector in Ganga Market, while the third is located physically at the civil secretariat. The secretariat’s multi-level automated parking facility is a ten-story structure with four basement floors set aside for parking and the ground floor acting as the entrance and exit. Parking is also available on the four above-ground floors, and there is a café and a gym on the top floor.

The Itanagar Smart City initiative has built a multi-storeyed parking facility for 108 cars, equipped with modern amenities. The ESS Sector multi-storeyed parking, constructed by UD&H, offers safe parking for employees and visitors, and serves as a parking solution for the state assembly and civil secretariat. Both facilities are expected to reduce congestion in the area.

The APST Bus Station multi-storey parking, built by UD&H for Rs 14.71 crore, is designed to accommodate marketgoers, hotel visitors, Arunachal Press Club, RK Mission Hospital, and APSTS employees. The six-storey structure has 100 LMVs, three automated car lifts, and eight dedicated bus bays. Khandu congratulated the public on the launch.
