Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan took a dig at External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s ongoing visit to the state, hinting that the visit was with an eye on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
While speaking at a programme, Vijayan specifically mentioned about the External Affairs Minister’s recent visit to the Kazakkuttam flyover on National Highway-66, which is under construction.
The Chief Minister said, “When it is said that a minister who is entrusted with the task of looking at the world situation, visited the flyover at Kazkuttam, the people of the state understand the real motive behind it. We should realize that it is not just to see the flyover,” he said.
Speaking to reports, Jaishankar, who is on a three-day visit to the southern state from Sunday, said there were several reasons for his visit to Kerala.
