Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, has launched the “Kaushal Rath,” a bus that provides hands-on skill training on wheels, aiming to develop the potential of the younger generation in building ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. These specialized mobile buses are designed to provide skill training and certification to aspiring candidates across Odisha’s Sambalpur, Angul & Deogarh districts.
The Kaushal Rath, a series of buses equipped with advanced tools and trainers, will offer training and certification in various subjects such as Digital Literacy, Financial Literacy, Retail & Entrepreneurial Skills, and more.These courses can be completed on Skill India Digital (SID), an online platform designed to skill, reskill, and upskill Indian individuals.
The buses will travel through Orissa’s districts of Angul, Sambalpur, and Deogarh, providing employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth. The event was attended by Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of National Skill Development Corporation. Speaking at the launch, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, said, “It is my firm belief that this Kaushal Rath initiative will play a pivotal role in educating rural communities, especially women and children, in digital literacy and new-age technology, ensuring that every citizen is well-equipped in this digital era.”
