The actress filed a complaint against her husband, father-in-law and bank manager for allegedly forging her signature and using her bank account without her knowledge.
Senior advocate MS Shyam Sundar, who appeared for Pothraj and his father, said that Chitra was the businessman’s estranged wife and filed a false complaint.
The court was told that the false complaint was filed after Balaji Pothraj filed a divorce case against his wife. A single-judge bench of the High Court stayed the proceedings and passed an interim order.
Besides, the case is ongoing.
