Jio’s February saw the highest number of new customers

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released data on Thursday showing that Jio added 10 lakh subscribers in February, increasing the total number of its subscribers from 42.61 crores in January to 42.71 crores in February. Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel added 1.98 million mobile customers, while Vodafone Idea lost 2 million customers during this period.

Jio added 10 lakh subscribers in February, increasing its subscriber base from 42.61 crore in January to 42.71 crore in February. Sunil Mittal-led Bharti Airtel added 9.82 lakh subscribers, taking its total subscriber base to 36.98 crore.

Subscribers of Vodafone Idea decreased

The total broadband subscriber base increased by 0.02 percent from 839.18 million at the end of January to 839.330 million at the end of February. The top five service providers accounted for 98.38 percent of the market share of broadband subscribers, including Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (43.52 crore subscribers), BSNL (2.492 crores), and Atria Convergence (21 lakh customers), Bharti Airtel’s (2.97 crores), Vodafone Idea (12.374 crores).
