The Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival announced its 2023 lineup, featuring over 250 films from over 70 languages, over 70 countries, 20 screens, 8 venues, and a state-of-the-art festival hub (NMACC). The festival aims to showcase contemporary films and new cinematic voices from South Asia, with a record-breaking number of 1000+ submissions for the South Asia program.
The main competition at the festival this year is the South Asia Competition, which aims to showcase breakthrough contemporary South Asian films. The non-competition section includes 46 films that showcase the region’s diversity and offer a glimpse into the rich tapestry of South Asia.
The festival’s board members, including Anupama Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Rana Daggubati, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Vikramaditya Motwane, Zoya Akhtar, Rohan Sippy, and Ajay Bijli, unveil the meticulously curated line-up of the best in global and South Asian cinema.
