Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said the government is committed to bringing peace to Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the security forces have achieved the top spot in countering terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and are working to destroy the ecosystem of terror in the Union Territory.
“We will not buy peace. We will establish peace (in Jammu and Kashmir),” Sinha told reporters at the Raj Bhavan.
Sinha, who responded to a question about creating an atmosphere of fear through selective killings by terrorists in Kashmir, said, “Our administration’s intention is very clear that peace is not to be bought, but to be established”.
LG also added that it may take time but the government will destroy the terror ecosystem.
