Indus Towers, one of the world’s largest telecom infrastructure companies has partnered with Assam Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) for distribution of flood-relief materials. Indus Towers’ team is continuously working towards ensuring connectivity, with the ground team reaching difficult locations with boats. 50 field employees and 378 technicians are working around the clock to restore digital access. 50 employees of Indus Towers, Northeast are on the field to deliver the relief packages across 18 camps sites -Dhubri, Silchar, Karimganj, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh, Morigaon, Bokakhat, Hojai, Boko, and Nalbari.
The relief packages include water, milk, ready –to-eat food items, instant food, torches with batteries. Tejinder Kalra, Chief Operating Officer, Indus Towers said, “Our hearts are with those affected by the current situation in Assam, and together with ASDMA, we will extend our undying support to the people of the state.”
