IndiaSkills 2023-24 is an invitation for individuals nationwide to showcase their talents and embark on a journey where skills become the compass towards success. It’s not just a competition; it’s a practical journey reflecting the heartbeat of our nation.
Dharamraj Thiyagarajan, a mechatronics engineering graduate from Shri Krishna College of Engineering, represented India in WorldSkills in 2015 and secured a professional job through campus interviews. He later started entrepreneurship with Dotworld Technologies in 2018, specializing in Mobile Robotics, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality. Varad Patil, an Indian entrepreneur, participated in the WorldSkills Competition in 2013 and has since appeared on The Shark Tank.
His startup, AyuSynk, received funding from Emcure Pharmaceuticals CFO Namita Thapar for 3.5% equity. Mahima Gandhi, founder of Mahima Gandhi Makeup & Nail Studio, found self-belief through WorldSkills 2019-20, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. She established her makeup studio and represented India on the international stage. Mohit Dudeja, who dropped out of Delhi college and pursued baking and pastry arts, learned about WorldSkills and now owns a Channel 9 patisserie, bakery, and cake shop.Varad, Mahima, Dharamraj and Mohit are not just success stories; they represent the tangible impact of skills in building successful ventures.
