Indian Army Holds Health Camp in Manigong to Support Community

Today, the Indian Army held a Medical Camp in Manigong as part of its ongoing efforts to promote the welfare of people residing in isolated border regions. The goal of the effort was to strengthen the relationship of trust and collaboration between the Army and the local population while also expanding access to basic healthcare services.A team of Army medical professionals provided free medical consultations and conducted basic health examinations for villagers, including the elderly, women and children. Essential medicines were distributed as required and beneficiaries were advised on follow-up care and early reporting of symptoms to prevent complications. The camp witnessed encouraging participation from the local population, reflecting both need and confidence in the outreach effort.

In addition to clinical support, the camp emphasized awareness on hygiene, preventive healthcare and healthy living practices. Residents were counselled on sanitation, nutrition and routine health habits that reduce disease burden in challenging environments. Such humanitarian outreach initiatives reflect the Indian Army’s role not only in safeguarding the nation’s borders but also in contributing meaningfully to the welfare and inclusive development of border communities.
