The number of COVID-19 cases in India rose by 7,584 in a day to 4,32,05,106 while the number of active cases rose to 36,267, according to Union Health Ministry updates.
The death toll rose to 5,24,747 with 24 more deaths.
The number of active cases has increased by 3,769 and now accounts for 0.08 percent of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.70 percent, the health ministry said.
The number of people who recovered from the disease rose to 4,26,44,092, while the death rate was recorded at 1.21 percent.
