In order to strengthen the India-Japan strategic relationship for a peaceful, secure, and prosperous post-Covid world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida had extensive discussions. The Japanese prime minister landed in Delhi around 8 am on Monday for a roughly 27-hour visit to strengthen bilateral ties in a number of areas and seek convergence between India’s G20 presidency and Japan’s G7 chair to solve numerous global issues. Officials stated that the focus on the bilateral front will be to improve cooperation in areas of defence and security, commerce and investment, and high technology prior to the meetings.
