In 24 Hours, over 4,300 Covid Violation Cases Grows In Delhi

Data for December 28 shared by the Delhi government showed 4,392 violations were recorded.

North Delhi reported the maximum number of such violations (700), followed by the east (635) and the southwest (502).

On the same day 69 FIRs registered for violation of Covid rules, but no arrests were made.

Delhi is on ‘yellow alert’ over the rise in Covid cases; with data suggesting the spike in is almost 21 per cent faster than the second wave in March-April.

This means restrictions like night curfew, closure of cinema halls, educational institutions and gyms, as well as 50% seating capacity in Metro trains and public buses.

Restaurants and bars will operate till 10 pm with 50% capacity.

Private offices will operate at 50% capacity and malls and shops can operate between 10 am and 8 pm basis.
