IMF MD Georgieva praises Ajay Banga’s commitment to inclusion and opportunities for all

Ajay Banga, an Indian-American who is expected to lead the World Bank, was praised by IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on Thursday for his dedication to inclusion and equal opportunity.
Following the resignation of World Bank President David Malpass in February, US President Joe Biden proposed Banga as a replacement. The World Bank Board of Directors will probably shortly name 63-year-old Banga as the organisation’s new leader.
