IMD gives an update on heavy rainfall in Maharashtra, Andhra, and Sikkim; a red alert for parts of Uttarakhand

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in isolated areas of the Garhwal and Kumaon regions of Uttarakhand. According to the weather department report, a few places in Uttarakhand’s Kuamaun and abduct districts of the Garhwal region are likely to get heavy to massive rainfall on the 14th of September. Thunderstorms are likely to take place in isolated places in districts of Uttarakhand. Due to perpetual rain in various parts of Maharashtra, Mumbai is facing deluged issues in the Sion area of the city.

The Meteorological Department of India has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane, and Sindhudur. As to the weather report of the Meteorological Department, West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Sikkim, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Goa are expected to get moderate to heavy rainfall in the next few days. The IMD bulletin has given an alert on 14th “Fairly widespread and widespread light and moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls & thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Gangetic West Bengal & Odisha; Bihar on 14th & 15th; Sub- Himalayan West Bengal & on 15th & 16th in Sikkim, Saurashtra & Kutch during 13th-15th.

West Madhya Pradesh & Gujarat Region during 13th-16th and over East Madhya Pradesh and ghat areas of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Konkan & Goa during next 5 days,”
