Geoscientists in India, from Patna University and Pandit Deendayal Energy University, have jointly secured a patent for an innovative method to boost sustainable power generation. The new utility patent covers the Hybridization of Green Energies for Power Generation, which specifically involves integrating solar energy to enhance geothermal output. The technology uses solar panels to pre-heat the geothermal fluid to a higher temperature before it enters an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) system, with projections to significantly increase the power output of geothermal plants.
