Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd, a leader in waste management, partnered with the Mizoram Pollution Control Board (MPCB) to host the E-Waste Management Summit 2024 in Aizawl. The event brought together key stakeholders to discuss the pressing challenges and strategies for e-waste management in North Eastern India.
Distinguished guests included Pu Joseph H. Lalramsanga, Commissioner of AMC, and Pu Liankima Lailung, Chairman of MPCB. Lailung emphasized the Board’s commitment to sustainable waste management practices, stating, “This summit marks a significant step toward effective e-waste management in the region.” Nandan Mall, Founder and Managing Director of Hulladek, announced the installation of an e-waste collection bin at the MPCB office to enhance operational capabilities.
Mizoram PCB Chairman said “Hulladek Recycling is the first company to put their heart and soul into solving North East’s waste problems. If we do not support them we might not get any opportunity to save our state’s environment for the future.”
The summit addressed critical topics, including the current e-waste landscape, new regulations, and Hulladek’s initiatives in the North East. Additionally, plans for expanding waste management solutions to include automotive catalytic converters and lithium-ion batteries were unveiled. Hulladek aims to establish a comprehensive e-waste collection network across schools and offices, promoting easy disposal for households and fostering a collaborative approach to sustainability.
