The North-East Multimedia Campaign (Red Fest), organized by the Mizoram State AIDS Control Society and the National AIDS Control Organization, took place at LPS Arena, Falkland. Chief Guest Minister of Health Lalrinpuii emphasized the initiative’s role in raising HIV/AIDS awareness, promoting healthy lifestyles, and reducing stigma. She highlighted the need for the ABC prevention approach (Abstinence, being loyal to one partner, and Condom use), noting the high HIV prevalence in the region. Chief Secretary Khilli Ram Meena addressed the stigma hindering testing and treatment access. The campaign, running since 2018, featured educational multimedia activities, exhibitions, and cultural performances involving youth from all eight North-Eastern states, focusing on HIV/AIDS awareness.
