A court-appointed commission to conduct a survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid-Sringa Gauri complex submitted its report on Thursday, submitting documents, videos and photographs.
Special Advocate Commissioner Vishal Singh said he submitted the report of the survey conducted on May 14, 15 and 16.
“I have no right to say what is in the survey report. Now the court will take further action in this regard,” he told the media outside the court.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has asked the Varanasi court not to hear the Gnanabapi case until the apex court takes up the matter on Friday.
The Gnanavapi mosque is adjacent to the iconic Kashi Vishwanath temple and the court is hearing a plea by a group of women seeking permission to offer daily prayers in front of the idol on the outer wall of the mosque.
The court gave the new commission till May 17 to submit the survey report. It extended the deadline by two days at the request of the survey team.
