Govt decides to reserve seats in state run engineering colleges

Assam Government has decided about reserving 5% seats in engineering colleges for the students who have pursued schooling from government schools in the state, Assam.

According to the sources, the decision is taken to promote more enrollments in the state run schools especially for those students who have studied in government from class 7 to 12.

The Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma did the announcement during state cabinet meeting held in Tinsukia, Assam.
