Governor K.T. Parnaik of Arunachal Pradesh wishes everyone a happy Reh Festival

On the auspicious occasion of the Reh Festival, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik on Friday sent his warmest regards to the state’s citizens, particularly the Idu Mishmi community. Parnaik said he hoped the festival would unite the benefits of the heavenly mother, ‘Nanyi Inyitaya,’ and strengthen the spirit of social harmony, fraternity, and togetherness among all of us.

According to the governor, the Idu Mishmi tribe, one of the state’s most culturally diverse populations, has a specific role in upholding the customs and distinctive ethnicity that make up the state’s rich cultural fabric. “This legacy is brilliantly reflected in the Reh Festival, which highlights the richness and diversity of our common culture. In order to strengthen connections of solidarity and respect for one another, I urge all members of the Idu Mishmi community as well as those from other tribes to band together and take part fully in the celebrations,” he stated.
