GNRC Hospitals, in partnership with the Assam Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), hosted the International Spring Continuing Medical Education (CME) event at the Vivanta Hotel in Guwahati. The International Spring CME 2024 brought together distinguished medical professionals from around the world. Among the esteemed attendees were Dr. London Ooi, Senior Hepato-Biliary Surgeon from Singapore General Hospital, Prof. Tracy Ayre, Group Chief of Nursing at SingHealth, Singapore, who shared their expertise and insights along with Ms Vijaya Rao, Senior Director (Programme Development), International Collaboration Office, SingHealth and Ms Yee Kai Sin, Senior Manager, Global Health System Programme, SingHealth. Despite geographical barriers, the event transcended borders with the remote participation of Prof. Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Professor of Surgery at Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh, via Zoom.
The event served as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among leading surgeons and medical practitioners. Notable participants included Prof. Subhash Khanna, Chief of Minimal Access, GI, and Robotic Surgery at Swagat Hospitals, Prof. Manoj Kr. Choudhury, Chief Consultant at GI Surgery and Endo-Laparoscopy Centre, Guwahati, along with Dr. Pinak Dasgupta, a renowned Colorectal Surgeon, Laparoscopic Surgeon, and Robotic Surgeon from Chennai. Distinguished surgeons from India such as Dr. Deborshi Sharma, Director and Professor of Surgery at ABVIMS & Dr RML Hospital, Dr. S.A. Mazid, Senior Consultant, Dept. of Surgery, Nemcare Hospital, Dr. Chaidul Islam, Chief of Laparoscopic Surgery and Director of HAAM Hospital, and Dr. Jayanta Das, Laparoscopic Surgeon, Nazareth Hospital, Shillong, also contributed to the enriching discussions and presentations.

Dr. Kanakeshwar Bhuyan, Chairman of the Assam State Chapter of ASI, Dr. Partha Pratim Das, Chairman of the Scientific Committee, and Dr. (Mrs.) Jishan Ahmed, EC member of ASI, also graced the occasion.
