General Assam Rifles arrested four people

Inspector General Assam Rifles’ Lunglei Battalion (East) arrested four people after recovering a huge cache of tactical and war-like stores.

The incident happened on October 30 near Tuipang village in Siaha district of Mizoram.

“This operation is a huge blow to all anti-national activities. The success of the operation will go a long way in establishing peace and harmony along the Indo-Myanmar border,” Lt Col AS Walia, PRO (Defence), Tezpur said in a press release.

According to sources, one shotgun, 169 gelatin sticks, 12 gauges, and 1500 bullets were recovered.

The items found in the investigation have been handed over to the Siyaha police station.

Further the investigation is on for the next proceedings.
