K Uma Maheshwari, daughter of late actor-politician NT Rama Rao and sister-in-law to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, allegedly died by attempt to suicide on Monday. Uma Maheshwari was found facing health problems and was going through treatment for the final few months.
Maheshwari breathed her last moment at her house in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. She was located hanging from the ceiling fan in her bedroom. The police have shifted the physique for autopsy.
“According to a preliminary investigation, she used to be below melancholy due to sick health. A case has been registered and the body has been shifted to Osmania hospital,” Jubilee Hills police reputable Rajashekhar Reddy advised India Today.
She was once the youngest among the four daughters of NTR, the founder of Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
NT Rama Rao, popularly regarded as NTR, had floated the TDP in 1982 on the slogan of Telugu self-respect and led the celebration to energy inside 9 months, ending the single birthday celebration rule of the Congress in then undivided Andhra Pradesh.
