Twenty-three year old Kuddus Ali is doing extra rounds this festive season, making deliveries of Flipkart packets around the city of Golaghat in Assam. When Ali could not complete his BA in Economics due to the pandemic and financial difficulties at home, he decided to join Flipkart’s kirana delivery program to augment family income. With every delivery, he is contributing to his family income which is primarily driven by his father’s vegetable store. “Flipkart’s kirana program has helped me gain financial independence and several of my friends have also joined the program part time along with managing their studies.” said Ali.
Like Ali, there are many success stories from Flipkart’s kirana delivery program that is witnessing an increasing support from kiranas across the state and the country. Kirana partners from across the state are being enabled through this well designed Flipkart kirana delivery program that also imparts digital training and upskilling. Currently, Flipkart works with over 1 lakh Kiranas across the country of which more than 8,300 are delivery partners from the state itself.
