Flipkart observes International Day of Disabled Persons

On the occasion of International Day of Disabled Persons, Flipkart is conducting a series of activities across its supply chain facilities to celebrate and encourage its employees with disabilities. The event will be held from December 3-15 and will focus on engaging and connecting with Flipkart’s facility heads across the country.

A sign language workshop will also be organized for the leaders. Through this, Flipkart will be able to understand the workplace needs and priorities of employees with disabilities. The event will also recognise and reward the work of Ekartians. Finally when the games resumed, he says his colleagues and leaders at work motivated him to participate in the state level cricket tournaments again along with his full time job.
Flipkart, as a homegrown e-commerce marketplace, believes in building an inclusive workplace, supporting the skills and career progression of all individuals in the society. It also has incorporated various initiatives to build a diverse and inclusive supply chain, with specific facilities dedicated to women and employees with disabilities.
