Flipkart is strengthening Assam’s digital economy by enabling local businesses, MSMEs, and artisans to scale through e-commerce. Participating in the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment & Infrastructure Summit 2025, the company reaffirmed its commitment to market expansion, logistics enhancement, and digital inclusion in the state.
With over 1 lakh sellers from Assam on its platform, Flipkart has reported a 100% year-on-year growth in seller onboarding. The top-selling categories include women’s ethnic wear, grooming products, men’s footwear, kids’ clothing, and home furnishings. Cities such as Guwahati, Jorhat, Goalpara, and Sivasagar are emerging as key e-commerce hubs.
To support rising demand, Flipkart has strengthened its supply chain network, operating fulfillment centers in Palasbari, Balashidhi, and Kochpara, with upcoming hubs in Kamrup and Jalukbari. Partnerships with the Assam Industries & Commerce Department and the Assam Skill Development Mission further drive market accessibility and workforce development.
