Flipkart has inked a pivotal partnership with the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC), signaling a significant move in the country’s e-commerce sector. This collaboration is poised to reshape the workforce landscape by accelerating skill development and expanding employment opportunities within the burgeoning e-commerce, retail, and warehousing domains.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) exchanged between Flipkart and NSDC signifies a commitment to propel India’s digital economy forward. Through NSDC-accredited courses, Flipkart will spearhead training, upskilling, and placement initiatives under its Supply Chain Operations Academy (SCOA) and Project Bright Initiative, aimed at addressing the industry’s evolving demands.
Central to this collaboration is Flipkart’s ‘Project Bright Initiative,’ offering complimentary online courses tailored to equip aspiring professionals with essential e-commerce skill sets. Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Flipkart Group, underscores the company’s dedication to fostering economic inclusivity, stating, “Our partnership with NSDC aims to unlock fresh opportunities for India’s youth.” In addition to providing training, Flipkart will actively participate in NSDC’s Kaushal Mahotsav (Job Fairs), facilitating direct engagement between job seekers and potential employers across the country.
