Filmfare announces the ‘Filmfare Awards Assamese 2024 with Jeewan Ram Mungi Devi Goenka Memorial Public Charitable Trust

Filmfare, the leading Indian media institution, is set to host the inaugural edition of the Filmfare Awards Assamese 2024, in partnership with the Jeewan Ram Mungi Devi Goenka Memorial Public Charitable Trust. On March 10, 2024, a grand celebration is set to take place at the Taj Vivanta in Guwahati, showcasing the charm and finesse of Kopil Bora and Aimee Baruah, who will be bringing infectious energy and charisma to the event. The awards ceremony will feature captivating performances by some of the biggest names in Assamese cinema, including Jatin Bora, Nishita Goswami, PreetyKongana, Urmila Mahanta, Priyam Pallabee, Ranjit Gogoi, Gayatri Hazarika and Dikshu Sarma.

The Filmfare ceremony, which began with a virtual press conference, has been officially opened. The panel, including Jitesh Pillai, Shankar Lall Goenka, Sanjive Narain, Partha Sarathi Nandy, Kopil Bora, and Aimee Baruah, has emphasized the importance of acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of Assamese cinema, a culture-rich industry. The Filmfare Awards Assamese will recognize the artistic and technical excellence of Assamese cinema, recognizing its significant contribution to the evolving Indian cinema landscape. The celebration is scheduled to commemorate the release of Assamese movies from J1st January 2023 to 31st December 2023
