Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was asked about delimitation, when it’s about to over during in the Assam assembly.
To which Sarma said, “The state government cannot say when the process will be completed as we are not directly or indirectly involved. EC is a central agency. Our work is only to provide the data.”
Sarma also added any question the opposition may have about the process can be placed before the Election Commission (EC) when its full team visits the state next week.
According to the sources, the question was asked by Congress MLA Rekibuddin Ahmed. Also the process began on January 1.
