In a concerted effort to address the food security crisis in disaster-stricken Kurung Kumey district, the District Administration and Department of Civil Aviation successfully completed three rounds of air dropping operations today. The operations, conducted with the Skyone Mi-172 aircraft, delivered approximately 2500 kg of essential supplies in each round to Koloriang.
This latest effort follows two earlier rounds of air drops in the Damin circle and one round in Koloriang, responding to urgent requests from the district administration. Despite challenging weather conditions and limited airspace windows, the sorties were executed through the collaborative efforts of the state government and local administration.
Further air drops, supported by the Air Force, are planned for the Sarli circle later this week to continue providing vital supplies to affected areas.
