Durex TBBT joins hands with SSACS to inspire change on World AIDS Day

Durex The Birds and Bees Talk (TBBT) partnered with Sikkim State AIDS Control Society (SSACS) to illuminate World AIDS Day 2023 with not just awareness but genuine connection.Gangtok’s air was filled with soulful tunes as the SOFIYUM Music Festival, featuring the Lepcha Folk-western Fusion Band SOFIYUM and hip hop artist Sudarshan Rai, captivated hearts. Beyond the melodies, the lyrics carried a poignant social message, embracing the core tenets of the Durex TBBT curriculum: consent, equity, inclusion, awareness, and protection.

The Pride Walk Fashion Show, a kaleidoscope of colors and diversity, showcased artists Queenandro, Xorem, and Gracy, walking in solidarity with those battling HIV/AIDS. Mayor Shri Nell Bahadur Chettri commended TBBT as a “positive and fruitful program for the youths.”Durex TBBT, known for fostering crucial conversations, displayed its curriculum at the event. Ravi Bhatnagar, Director, External Affairs & Partnerships, SOA, Reckitt, expressed solidarity with the youth, acknowledging their role as changemakers.

Mrs. Deki Wangmoo Phempu, Project Director, SSACS, voiced gratitude, recognizing TBBT’s role in empowering adolescents as advocates of comprehensive reproductive health. In this harmonious collaboration, the program strives to nurture a generation armed with knowledge and empathy, forging a brighter, healthier future.
