Renowned social worker and industrialist of Assam Dr. Ashok Dhanuka was conferred with ‘Philanthropist of the Year’ award by News18 Group under the Assam Excellence Award 2022.
In a colorful ceremony organized by News18 Assam NorthEast at Hotel Radisson Blu, State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora felicitated Dr. Dhanuka by giving a memento and a Certificate for his contribution in the work of social service. Rajesh Raina, Group Editor of News18 Network was also present on the occasion. In this dignified program, Industry and Commerce Minister Bimal Bora including many big personalities of police administration and eminent people associated with business and industry were present.
It is noteworthy that during the Corona pandemic, under the leadership of Dr. Dhanuka, more than 52 thousand needy people were given the first and second doses of Covid vaccine free of cost. Not only this, Dr. Dhanuka has always been making his important contribution in various public welfare works, including Sri Gauhati Gaushala and Marwari Hospital. At present, Dr. Dhanuka is serving as the Trustee Incharge of Sri Gauhati Gaushala. For the selfless services rendered by Dr. Dhanuka, he was conferred with this prestigious honor by News18 Group.
