Dhankhar’s statement on West Bengal government

West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday said there is no rule of law in his state as it is being run by a ruler – apparently referring to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

He said that he witnessed dire situations and challenges during his tenure as the Governor of West Bengal.

“I have seen dire situations and challenges as governor. I have seen governance outside the constitutional system. I have seen a situation where there is no rule of law, but a ruler,” Dhankhar said during a visit to Udaipur where he attended several functions.

He made this comment at a press conference after visiting Pratap Gaurav Kendra.
