Devotees Flock to Aakashi Ganga as Arunachal Marks Makar Sankranti

On Wednesday, the Lower Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh’s Aakashi Ganga in Likabali celebrated the holy holiday of Makar Sankranti with fervor and devotion. To participate in the celebration, a sizable number of devotees gathered at the sacred location, including pilgrims from nearby Assam. The Malini Vikash Parishad and the Lower Siang district administration worked together to make sure that everything went smoothly and that everyone attending the festival felt at ease.Notably, more police officers were stationed at the location to uphold law and order and control traffic, guaranteeing effective crowd management and continuous traffic flow across the region. To prevent traffic at the holy place, special procedures were established for cordon management. The superintendent of police for Gothombu Dajangju and Ainstein Kyou, the deputy commissioner in charge of Lower Siang, visited the sacred place and personally oversaw the preparations to guarantee security, safety, and general alertness throughout the celebration. A medical aid kiosk was also erected at the location with public health in mind to offer devotees prompt treatment when needed.The district administration expressed gratitude for the festival’s peaceful conduct and acknowledged the assistance of volunteers, devotees, and all line departments that contributed to its success.
