Daikin Air-conditioning India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., has announced the commercialisation of its integrated air-conditioning and compressor manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. Mr. Masanori Togawa, President &CEO, Daikin Industries Limited, Japan, Mr. YasushiY amada, Senior Executive Officer, DIL, Japan, Ms. Nivruti Rai, Managing Director & CEO, Invest India & Mr. SujanChinoy, Director General MP– IDSA & Former Indian Ambassador to Japan inaugurated the facility in the presence of Mr. Kanwaljeet Jawa, Chairman & Managing Director of Daikin India.
This strategic move underscores Daikin’s unwavering commitment to pioneering technology, sustainable practices, and fostering regional growth.Daikin’s 75.5-acre plant demonstrates its commitment to excellence and innovation, aiming to meet the growing demand for advanced air conditioning products in India and globally.
Daikin is the primary investor in the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) program for air-conditioning, aimed at boosting domestic air conditioner production. Mr. K J Jawa, Chairman & Managing Director of Daikin India, commented, “In addition, Daikin holds the distinction of being the primary investor in the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, actively championing the drive for domestic manufacturing of air conditioners.”
