Cycling to Nepal is the first step in a Tripura mountaineer’s Everest trek

Aritra Roy, a successful mountaineer from Tripura, was flagged off by Assam Rifles as he set out on an incredible journey to conquer Mount Everest in a historic demonstration of tenacity and determination. Aritra, who is from Agartala and is a licensed mountaineer, wants to become the first person from Tripura to climb the highest peak in the world. According to a defense spokesperson, Aritra is cycling 1,500 kilometers in 20 days from Agartala to Phaplu, Nepal.

According to him, this project not only demonstrates his steadfast will but also acts as a beacon for environmental sustainability and the advancement of cycling as an environmentally beneficial form of transportation. According to the spokesman, Aritra’s preparation for this enormous challenge has been greatly aided by Assam Rifles, which is unwavering in its dedication to promoting adventure, fitness, and patriotism. The paramilitary force has given him the training he needs to be able to endure and survive, as well as vital logistical and administrative support along his cycling route.

Aritra Roy, a seasoned mountaineer, is set to summit Mount Everest after completing training from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. He plans to reach Nepal’s Phaplu by April 3, then start trekking and climbing phases. If successful, he will participate in the Everest Marathon on May 29, setting a new endurance sports benchmark.
