Cummins India receives certification for CPCBIV+ emissions standard compliance

At a ceremony held at the ARAI headquarters in Pune, Cummins India Limited was presented with many CPCBIV+ compliance certificates from the ARAI. Senior representatives from ARAI and Cummins India attended the occasion. Dr. Reji Mathai ceremoniously gave Dr. Pradheepram Ottikkutti and Ms. Shveta Arya their certificates. The accreditation applies to a variety of genset product lines. Cummins India Limited has been certified to provide CPCBIV+ emission norms-compliant gensets.

The CPCB IV+ emission standards are one of the most comprehensive and stringent emission norms for power generation engines that the CPCB will implement from July 1, 2023. They will reduce particulate matter and harmful oxides of nitrogen concentrations by 90%, and establish a single standard for both prime and standby usage of gensets with an engine power output of up to 800 kWh.

Ms. Shveta Arya, Business Head, Power Systems, Cummins India Limited, said “As India gets ready to implement one of the most stringent emission norms, we are delighted to receive the various CPCBIV+ compliance certifications for our genset engines. This validation increases our confidence to provide exceptional power solutions that meet the performance, and environmental responsibility standards.”
