Cummins India Limited (“Cummins”), one of the leading technology providers of power solutions, announced the launch of its CPCBIV+ emission standard compliant range of genset engines. The CPCBIV+ compliant genset engine was launched by Mr. Ashwath Ram, Managing Director, Cummins; Ms. Anjali Pandey, Chief Operating Officer, Cummins Group in India; Ms. Shveta Arya, Business Head, Power Systems, Cummins; and Genset Original Equipment Manufacturers (GOEMs) in the presence of key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and senior Cummins officials.
Cummins and GOEM partners are launching gensets with CPCBIV+ emission norms, capable of up to 800 KWh. These advanced engines have advanced after-treatment systems, improved fuel efficiency, and load-taking capability. They facilitate seamless transitions from the grid to genset power, even in extreme conditions. Remote monitoring and advanced engine control capabilities are also available.
Indian government enforces CPCB IV+ emission standards since July 1, 2023, reducing PM and NOx concentrations by 90%, covering prime and stand-by use gensets, covering all fuel types for engines with up to 800 kWh power output. Mr. Ashwath Ram, Managing Director, Cummins, said,“We strive to ensure that whenever our customers think power, they think of Cummins.”
